The Coves Concert Series supports SML Good Neighbors, Inc., Transitions Basics Inc., The Free Clinic of Franklin County, and The Smith Mountain Lake Arts Council. Profits from the bar concession at all concerts are shared between each charity in support of their youth nutrition and emergency assistance programs in Franklin and nearby counties.
Developing good neighbors skills and values in children through programs that nourish, educate, and support them while providing life-changing experiences for college students through leadership development internships.

The Free Clinic of Franklin County serves as a key safety-net provider of healthcare in the Franklin County area for un- and underinsured community members. By providing primary care on a sliding-fee basis and serving patients with Medicaid, the clinic meets a critical need of equitable healthcare access for Franklin County residents.

The Smith Mountain Arts Council (SMAC), established in 1989, is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization and serves a large geographical area around Smith Mountain Lake. The service area includes but is not limited to Franklin, Pittsylvania and Bedford counties. Many SMAC activities draw participation from surrounding towns such as Roanoke, Lynchburg, Martinsville, and beyond.
