When your guests arrive at the amphitheater, they should check in at will call. If their name is on your submitted guest list, they’ll receive a wristband granting them access to the skybox area.

Important: Only guests on the official list will be allowed entry—no exceptions.

As a reminder, you’ll receive an email from the amphitheater 10 days before the show requesting your guest list.

As a skybox host, you and your guests enjoy several exclusive perks:

• Private Restrooms: Access to upgraded, restricted-use bathrooms featuring flushable toilets, utility sinks, and a dedicated attendant.

• Group Signage: Hosts are welcome to hang signage on their skybox to represent their group, business, or event.

• Food & Beverage Options: For select concerts, specialty food and beverage packages may be available for pre-show delivery to your skybox. If this option is offered for your event, the amphitheater will contact you with details. Availability varies by show.

Yes! Each Skybox offers a direct line of sight to the amphitheater stage along with an incredible view of the surrounding lake and mountains. Show volume is set to reach Skybox guests so they can enjoy the music, but low enough to carry on conversations with guests.

To reserve a skybox, visit the skybox reservation page and select the concert(s) you’re interested in.

Please note:

• Pricing varies by concert and is listed on the reservation page.

• 100% of skybox proceeds are donated to our charity partners.

• 501(c)(3) donation receipts are available upon request.

Once your reservation is confirmed, you’ll receive a follow-up email from the amphitheater with event details and next steps.

The Coves Amphitheater is driven by two core goals:

• Bringing exceptional musical talent to Smith Mountain Lake.
• Using those performances to directly benefit local charities.

We donate as much as possible from concert-related income, including skybox fees, operational proceeds, tips, and audience gifts to our selected nonprofit partners.

Who Are Our Charity Partners?

Our partners are small, local nonprofits focused on fighting poverty in Franklin County. They’ve united under the name Neighbors in Need to raise awareness about the growing challenges of food insecurity and limited healthcare access in our region.

To date, the Coves Amphitheater has raised over $150,000 in support of these organizations.

For safety and crowd control, we cannot allow anyone without a wristband, even if they are attending the concert—to enter the skybox area. This policy helps us maintain a secure and enjoyable experience for all guests.

No, outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the amphitheater.

But don’t worry, you won’t go hungry! We host a rotating lineup of food trucks on site, offering a variety of delicious options to enjoy during the show.

No, pets are not allowed with the exception of service animals.

Yes, we offer beer and wine at our concession stands. 

Smoking is not permitted in the skyboxes. There are designated smoking areas on the amphitheater grounds.

Yes, the amphitheater employs local law enforcement supplemented by private security to monitor every event.

Absolutely! Our skyboxes are available for a wide range of private events, including:

• Private parties and reunions

• Weddings (on stage!) and receptions

• Seminars and retreats

• Health and wellness events

• “Pop-up” restaurants and specialty dining experiences

We also provide additional support services such as on-site catering, entertainment, and ABC-licensed bar service to help make your event seamless and memorable.
