The extraordinary musical talents of Tommy Emmanuel, C.G.P. (Certified Guitar Player), and Richard Smith will be displayed at The Coves Amphitheater on Sunday, July 16. This much-anticipated concert promises to be an unforgettable experience for both music lovers and guitar enthusiasts.

Tommy Emmanuel, regarded as one of this generation’s greatest acoustic guitarists, began his musical journey at a young age, learning to play by ear and developing a fingerstyle technique similar to that of Chet Atkins. Over the years, he has developed a technique for blending together various genres such as jazz, blues, country and rock.

Armed with his signature Maton acoustic guitar, Emmanuel’s music creates intricate melodies, rhythm and percussive elements, transforming a single guitar into an entire band.

Joining him on July 16 is acclaimed British guitarist Richard Smith, winner of numerous guitar competitions and someone who possesses an exceptional command over various guitar styles, including jazz, country and classical.

The Coves Amphitheater, nestled on the banks of Smith Mountain Lake in Union Hall, serves as the perfect venue for this incredible musical event. Known for its great acoustics and picturesque setting, the amphitheater provides an intimate and communal experience for the audience.

Tickets for this unforgettable night of musical brilliance with Tommy Emmanuel and Richard Smith are available on The Coves at SML website.  Gates open at 5 p.m. with the show beginning at 7 p.m.
