Nestled in between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the shimmering waters of Smith Mountain Lake sits The Coves Amphitheater, an outdoor music venue that celebrates art and culture while honoring the natural beauty of the land. Since its inception, The Coves Amphitheater has hosted an impressive lineup of top talent spanning multiple genres including rock, blues, classical, and country. Artists including Kenny G, Bruce Hornsby, Jr. Sisk, The Mavericks, Charles Esten, and a host of others have showered the Smith Mountain Lake area with their talents while also helping to raise money for local charities.

The Coves Amphitheater partners with SML Good Neighbors, a local nonprofit organization that provides local youth with free academic, nutritional, and enrichment programs, to bring the concert series to fruition each season. Profits from each season are donated to SML Good Neighbors to help build the life-changing programs that the organization provides to the community.
“Our mission is simple; to provide aid and support to those in need through world-class concert experiences,” states Gary Jackson, General Manager of The Coves Amphitheater. “When you purchase a ticket to a Coves event, you can think of it as a donation to help the hungry in our area, or to provide mentor support for children in need, among other SML Good Neighbors Programming, all while simply enjoying a day or evening of music with us.”
The 2023 concert lineup will be kicking off Sunday, April 23rd, 2023 with The Wailin’ Jennys. For more information on The Coves Amphitheater and to purchase tickets, visit www.covesatsml.com.
